Don’t waste your time with these things. Since they’re aluminum, the threads strip long before the nut is tight enough to make a good seal. Should have been made of steel. Would have been worth the extra weight.

Hi Oakley – you definitely would not want to use steel valve stems on an aluminum wheel. Mating dissimilar metals can result in galvanic corrosion, which can permanently damage the valve stems and the wheels. Just about every OEM TPMS sensor is a bolt-in type valve stem made of aluminum, and there’s no reason an aluminum stem can’t have threads strong enough to make a good seal. Reports of thread issues are exceedingly rare, so if yours have been over torqued, or are damaged please reach out and we can help get that resolved. Thanks!
